GETTING RID OF DANDRUFF NATURALLY AT HOME

Dandruff as we all know is a non-infectious and a very common skin disease of the scalp. Studies reveal that chemical residues from cosmetics, stress, anxiety, there could be underlying skin disease like psoriasis, tinea capitis which is the fungal infection of the scalp, seborrheic dermatitis, eczema, etc could be certain factors or causes of dandruff. As per Ayurveda 8 lakh years ago, this disease was discovered and it was named as Darunaka and wide treatment options were described at that time by Acharyas. The treatments are as effective as they were years ago and they will always remain effective in the future. SYMPTOMS:-
A patient often experiences a lot of itching, they could be hair loss, pricking sensation, burning sensation and dryness followed by cracking of the skin. Mostly people with Vatta prakruti or those having dry skin are more likely to have dandruff. As per modern science there are various medicated shampoos and lotions that have an antifungal drug, Ketoconazole which is very useful for curing dandruff. It clears off the dandruff in the first application or at least gives you results every time you use it, gives relief from itching and burning sensation. But one must use it only under a doctor’s consultation as you may have hair loss or your hair might become dry or brittle, etc. Now if you are someone who has already used these shampoos or lotions but are still suffering from this condition, let me tell you a simple remedy. If the cause lies in the scalp like dry skin then these remedies will definitely help you out. But if the cause lies in the underlying skin diseases like psoriasis, tinea capitis, etc, then treatment for that particular disease is required so diagnosis is very important.
REMEDIES:-
1] Oil – Hair oil applications are very useful. We recommend you use Keshya-C hair oil and Keshya-C hair tablets as these have herbs in extract form. But the most important point here is that whenever you want to apply hair oil, take the required quantity in a bowl and add 4 drops of lemongrass aroma essential oil (Any available brand), mix it well and apply it to your scalp. Aroma essential oils are very strong and effective, this will give your hair a good smell, smooth and soft texture and as well as clear off dandruff. You can keep this oil for an hour or overnight. While washing your hair add 4 drops of the same aroma essential oil to your shampoo and use it. You will experience great changes after you use this remedy.
2] Lepa – We need three ingredients here; Yashtimadhu, bhringraj and kasis bhasma. The dosage will be 25gms of yashtimadhu powder, 25gms of bhringraj powder and 10gms of kasis bhasma powder, mix them well and store in a container. All these are easily available but even if you get any 1 or any 2 of the ingredients then also it will be equally beneficial. Whenever you are planning to wash your hair, take 1tspn of this combination in a bowl, add a few drops of water and let it rest for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes dip your fingers into this mixture and rub it all over your scalp. Keep this for about an hour, it would be better if you keep it overnight. You can cover your head with a shower cap or simply tie a cloth over it and then wash it off the next morning.
These remedies will help you cure dandruff, give your health a smooth and soft texture and prevent damage. Also if you are facing premature greying of hair in a very initial stage and wish to cure it, then you can use Keshya-C hair oil and Keshya-C hair tablets.
