PAPAYA | Benifits for Skin and Wellness
Papaya fruit mostly grown in tropical regions, is quite popular for not only its taste but also its health benefits. It is anti-oxidant and contains rich amount of vitamin A,C and E which help in preventing heart diseases, cancer, diabetes, controlling cholesterol, improving digestion and also has certain anti-aging components.
There are several benefits of this fruit, lets know how we can use it at home.
EXTERNAL USES:-
1] Lacto Papaya Pack
Cut the papaya in small pieces and MASH it into a paste. Add tbspn milk powder to 1 tbspn papaya paste. Apply this for 15 minutes and wash off. This is useful for skin whitening, curing pigmentation and dark-circles.
2]Citric Pack
Take 1 tbspn papaya, add few lemon drops and apply this mixture. [if you are allergic to lemon add any citric fruit juice]. Application similar to the previous pack.
3]Fruit Pack
Add mashed banana and cucumber juice to the papaya paste, massage the mixture on your face or apply it as a normal pack. Similarly keep for 15 minutes and then wash off. This pack to keep your skin hydrating as increases moisture holding capacity, and also helps to prevent wrinkles and aging.
4] Anti-Toner Pack
Here we are going to use Fuller’s Earth (Multani Mitti) with the papaya paste. This pack can be kept for 20 minutes or until dry. It is useful for skin tightening, cleansing, moisturizing, toning, exfoliation, preventing acne/ pimples, etc. If Fuller’s Earth powder isn’t available one can use sandalwood powder instead. Sandalwood is cools your skin and acts as a toner.
INTERNAL USE:
1] Papaya Detox
Take 1 liter room temperature or cold water in a glass bottle, add 1 bowel papaya pieces and 5-8 slices of ginger. Keep this bottle aside for an hour and consume it little by little through out the day. This detox will keep your body hydrated, helps in skin glowing and also maintain pH level, eliminates unwanted toxins, improves bowel movement.
Additional Tips :-
1. Do not consume papaya immediately after dinner, keep a gap of atleast 4 hours.
2.Consume papaya early morning or at night time to improve constipation. (Papaya has laxative properties to improve bowel movement)
