Benefits of Aleev seeds/chandrashoor/garden cress.

ALEEV SEEDS- VERY BENEFICIAL FOR HEIGHT GROWTH|

Cress, sometimes referred to as garden cress to distinguish it from similar plants also referred to as cress, is a rather fast-growing, edible herb. Garden cress is genetically related to watercress and mustard, sharing their peppery, tangy flavor and aroma. The parts of the plant that grow above the ground are used to make medicine. People use garden cress for coughs, vitamin C deficiency, constipation, tendency toward infection (poor immune system), and fluid retention, but there is no good scientific evidence to support these uses. known as chandrashoor, and the seeds, known as aaliv or aleev in India, are commonly used in the system of Ayurveda.

NUTRITIONAL VALUE –

It is a rich source of calcium, iron, fiber, protein, folic acid, Vitamin D and Vitamin C. Speaking about protein there are three amino acids present in these seeds; glutamic acid, leucine and methionine. We often see that body builders, athletes, runners and swimmers generally consume a drink during their workout session. These drinks are intra-workout drinks and these are generally BCAAs. The branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) are a group of three essential amino acids: leucine, isoleucine and valine. Leucine is present in highest percentage, the same percentage is available in chandrashoor. Aleev seeds are also rich in fatty acids.

BENEFITS –

In classical Ayurveda, Chandrashoor is recommended for those suffering from nutritional deficiencies because of its high nutritional content. It is also recommended to support healthy hormone levels in women, and to reduce bloating and normalize irregular menstrual cycles. Chandrashoor is an ingredient in tonics used to treat breathing issues, hiccups, and gout. Ayurveda also asserts that Chandrashoor is valuable in supporting healthy liver function.

CONSUMPTION –

Take about 15-20 gms of aleev seeds and a one glass of camel milk, mix well and consume early in the morning. Camel milk is generally easily available but if it is not then one can opt for camel milk powder, take a glass of cow’s milk and add one serving of camel milk powder (15-20gms) then add the aleev seeds and consume early morning. One can also consume the combination of cow’s milk and camel milk powder without chandrashoor/ aleev seeds before going to bed. Camel milk is rich in many nutrients that are important for overall health, it is a great alternative for lactose intolerant people and it lowers blood sugar and insulin. Medicines or remedies meant for height growth should be consumed while standing as like this they directly reach the caecum. The caecum is the area between the large and small intestines.

ESTRA TIP –

Meditation by sitting erect before going to bed also helps a lot.
